Emission Rate Measuring Devices

The SAM emission rate measuring device (Rumpel) with the dust level measuring device (Bergerhoff). Conventional measuring methods are too complex and expensive for the comprehensive monitoring (mapping) of air pollution.
The emission rate measuring device
SO2-; F-; NO2-; NO3-; CI-; NH3+; O3; KW; is described on pages 46 to 54 of the: "Bundesumweltamt-Texte: Großräumige Luftbelastung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland". (The Federal Environmental Protection Agency Texts – Large Scale Air Pollution in the Federal Republic of Germany)

The Bergerhoff device is a development of the State Agency for the Protection of Land Utilisation of the State of North Rhine Westphalia (VDI [GAE German Association of Engineers] guideline 2191) and has been in use since that time.
